Based on Luke 15:8-10.
If you had ten beautiful gold bracelets, and you lost one, what would you do?
Jesus told a story about a woman who has ten valuable pieces of silver. One day, she lost one of those pieces. What did she do? She lit a lamp, swept the house and searched carefully until she found it. Then, having found it, she called her friends and neighbors together and said, “Celebrate with me; I have found my lost coin.”
Real Truth is like this: valuable, worth finding and celebrating. But how do we do that? How do we find and know that something we hear is true?
One way we can find Truth is to look in a book that we trust. The Bible is trustworthy because it is the Word of God. He gave the words to various people who wrote them down exactly as God told them. The stories we read in the Bible are true and reliable.
The Qu’ran also instructs us to read the Scriptures which came before. All of the stories that I will tell you come from the Bible. I will pray for you, but you can also pray and ask God to show you whether or not these stories are true.
“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” -Matthew 7:8
